As a practicing real estate attorney I have been representing my clients’ best interests since 1974. I am equally at home in contract litigation as I am in participating in an ADR (Alternative Dispute Resolution) session.

Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR)
As an attorney representing my client, I often participate in ADR sessions. ADR is mediation process during which an arbitrator (usually certified) mediates a meeting of the defense and plaintiff / prosecution in which the parties attempt to work out an amicable solution without a trial.
Construction Law
As a real estate lawyer, I represent both property owners and builders / contractors in construction disputes, including claims of construction defects or other contractual issues. I have also had occasion to represent new owners in litigation against their contractors for construction defects. In the same type of cases, I have defended the contractor.
Business and Commercial Law
I provide a wide variety of services to individual and small business clients including the selection of the appropriate organizational type under which an entity should operate including S-Corporation, C-Corporation, Partnership, Limited Liability Company (LLC) or Limited Liability Partnership (LLP). I offer legal advice to businesses and commercial entities in terms of contract preparation and negotiation, the sale and purchase of businesses, employee relations, and dissolution.
Consumer Protection
The consumer protection cases in which I have offered legal advice include breach of warranty cases. I typically represent the consumers (plaintiff) in these cases.
Debtor / Creditor
I represent either the debtor or the creditor in debtor / creditor disputes. This litigation tends to be a situation where one party is trying to collect on a judgment or debts, and the defense usually claims that the payment is not owed, or has already been paid.
Litigation and Appeals
In contract litigation and other areas of law, I have taken the case into appellate court. I also take other attorney’s cases into appeals when either the attorney feels it would be in his or her clients’ best interest to have more experience in appeals, or in cases where a client is unhappy with their legal representation in a lower court.
