Contract Disputes

Orange County Contract Attorney

As an experienced contract attorney located in Orange County, I provide legal advice to clients in Orange, San Bernardino, Riverside, Los Angeles, and San Diego, CA. I have experience reviewing, drafting, and negotiating all types of contracts including distribution agreements, licensing agreements, non-disclosure agreements, purchase and sale agreements, and strategic partnership alliances.

A great many attorneys may claim that they can draft contracts, however it takes experience to draft a contract that will stand up in a dispute, and should a contract law dispute arise, an experienced contract lawyer is better able to litigate a successful contract defense. Litigation is usually a last resort and although I have had success in the courtroom on my clients’ behalf, I find that it is usually preferable to negotiate a settlement rather than go to trial.

I have been able to achieve successful negotiated settlements on behalf of my clients with contract disputes. These contracts have been between two individuals, between an individual and a business, and between two businesses. The following are some typical contract disputes that may arise in Orange County or elsewhere, in which I have been retained as the contract attorney for the defense or the plaintiff.

Contract defense – After an employee left a company, she claimed that she was one of the owners. The case went to trial and the defense prevailed.

Contract defense / contract plaintiff – Disputes between homeowners associations and their members regarding [repairs and fees] are common occurrences.

Contract plaintiff – Business owners involved with lease disputes when a shopping center did not follow through on their obligations.

Contract defense / plaintiff – When one shareholder wants to end their participation in a partnership or LLC, a lawsuit results when the terms cannot be agreed upon.

If you need a contract attorney or legal advice in contract litigation, please call or contact my Orange County law office at your earliest convenience. I would appreciate the opportunity to act as your legal problem solver.
